A typical reception. We fit around your run sheet, your venue and your coordinator.
We arrive 30 minutes before your reception starts and set up quietly. Two chairs, soft light, cameras and microphones, and one button to start.
The Ever After recording space opens once the reception starts. Guests drift in two or three at a time, and carefully designed prompt cards are there if anyone needs a nudge.
Towards the end of the night, our team finds family members, grandparents and anyone who hasn’t recorded yet, and makes sure they say a few words.
We cut together some of our favourite quotes, stories and messages into a crafted, edited video. You also get all the raw recordings to laugh, cry and enjoy. Edited files can take up to 4 weeks.

We’re the team behind Podwave Studios, a video podcast production company in Perth. Most weeks we’re helping people tell their stories on camera and getting nervous people to relax and open up. It’s what we do best.
Ever After Recordings brings that same studio recording experience to your reception or engagement party. 4K cameras, crystal clear sound, warm lighting and conversation cards for anyone who needs a little help.

An audio guest book is a phone on a table. We’re a proper recording setup: two chairs, soft lights, 4K cameras, studio microphones and conversation prompts for those who are shy. You see your guests’ faces, not just hear a voicemail, and it all comes back as a film you’ll want to watch.
Not at all. We keep to our own area and look after our own little set. Your videographer captures the day, and we capture what people want to say about you. The two work happily side by side.
Most people are, for the first ten seconds. That’s why we have prompt cards! If they don’t know what to say, the carefully written question cards help them speak from the heart. By the time dessert is served, there’s usually a queue for seconds and more stories.
A small corner, roughly 4m x 4m, near a power point, ideally undercover and a little away from the speakers. We’ll talk to your venue or coordinator beforehand so it fits your run sheet. We find that if the MC mentions the recording setup, people find it easily.
We arrive 30 minutes before your reception starts and record for around 3 hours. We set up quietly and pack down without a fuss at the end. If you need additional time, just let us know.
Up to 4 weeks after the wedding. You’ll get a cut-together film of the night plus every full conversation, unedited, through a private link or on a hard drive if you prefer.
Only you. Everything is delivered privately, and we never share anything without your permission and your guests’ consent. We know these stories are personal and for the happy married couple to enjoy.
Yes. We cover Perth and the Swan Valley and travel across WA, including Margaret River and the South West. Travel outside the Perth metro area is quoted separately.
We do. Engagement parties, milestone birthdays, anniversaries and more. If people are gathering because they love someone, we’d love to be there.
